Things are changing fast in the world of the multi effects pedal!!  The latest addition to the great Digitech multi effects series now includes the Digitech iPB-10iRig, and all the great iphone and iPad apps for guitar, recording and playing, but this is something different.  With a docking station built for the ipad, this pedal is one of a kind.

If you thought you had some great guitar apps for your ipad/iphone, check this out.  The Digitech iPB-10 lets you drag and drop up to 10 different pedals allowing you to create your own unique pedal board.  This was possible with the RP500 or RP1000, but in a less intuitive way.  This basically lets you experiment and quickly, and easily change sounds and tones.

Along with changing and mixing pedals, you can add an amp/cabinet setup to it (54 amps, 26 cabinets), and by a swipe of your finger, adjust levels, knobs and tones.  How cool is that!

Of course, once you have played around with this great interface on the Digitech iPB-10 for awhile, you can store your favourites, then re-select them anytime.

This is where I believe guitar effects are going.  Digitech has gone from shrill sounding, metal oriented pedals to these great, ingenious multi effects pedals that are blowing the mold apart.  By integrating the ipad into an RP1000 chasis, they have not only made a great multi effects pedal greater, they have set a new standard.
